So, I edc a Spyderco Salt-1. I love the knife and the blade steel. I sweat alot and often most of my blades rust big time and I hate fighting rust. I want to sharpen the knife and shove it in my pocket. It only comes out to be re-sharpened or to cut something. Well about 4 months ago I lost my Salt-1....tragic day, I tore the house up, the car, my job....anywhere I could think. I finally got over it and bought a mini-grip, spyderco dragonfly 2, sog gripzilla, mini-aegis, and a kershaw cryo. I gave the gripzilla to a coworker who was always using his keys to open boxes at work, but other than that, I still have all these wonderful knives. After going a little knife crazy, I found my salt-1 attached to the pocket of a pair of work pants...The reason I never wear the pants anymore is because I gained about several pounds and I remember putting them on to work around the house and taking them off because they were uncomfortable. I guess my wife washed them and put them up. I haven't touched them since yesterday..... The moral to this story is to lose weight or you will lose your knives. True story. (At least I have alot of cool knives now.)

Ha, great story - and sounds too familiar (the weight gain thing). Glad you got your knife back!!

Yeah, I "lost" one of my Sante Fe Stoneworks lockback Kiwi's for over a year. I have several suits with pant's sizes from 34" to 38" due to my yoyo eating habits. I've lost the same dang 30 pounds five or more times. Anyway, I was in my "fat" phase and was wearing one of my larger suit pants right before starting a diet, and had the knife in my pocket. Couldn't find it anywhere a few days later when I was rearranging my knives. Fast forward a year or so to when I pulled out all my suits to send to the cleaners...... Felt like Christmas!

This particular knife has been through the washer about 10 times. It looks likes its been a user for the last 4 years, but no real damage. The handles don't even crack through the dryer. Its held up pretty solid.

Yeah, I need to lose some weight so I can use my IWB holster for my CCW gun. I also thought I lost my EDC, but fortunately I found it when vacuuming out my truck. The only problem is, I still want to get another nice knife even though I don't need it anymore.
