So while out on a dove hunt this weekend, I let my nine year old daughter have my Vic Farmer to whittle on sticks and do nine year old knife things... I don't think I'm going to get my knife back. Lol. It hasn't left her pocket since we left the hunt and she keeps telling me that you for her birthday present. I suppose it's time to buy a new one. :) Honestly, I'm happy that she loves the knife and doing outdoor activities with us. And a SAK Farmer is a small price to pay for that. :)

VERY small price to pay!!:thumbup::D

My granddaughter is getting my peanut on her next birthday.

Oh I didn't mind loosing it to her. I love watching her love of the outdoors grow. I know as long as she takes good care of it, the Farmer should last her a lifetime.

:D Priceless way to lose a farmer, sure hope she will continue the tradition.

That sure beats loaning it to your X-wife. Did that with a Colt Diamondback. Never saw it again and it was my favorite revolver at that time.

Time to buy another one or perhaps two.

Ha. See if she is willing to trade you for a shiny new red Recruit.

If not a Farmer is a small price to pay for some quality time.

I lost my Alox Electrician in a similar family related incident. I let my wife use mine for the awl tool. She uses it to make holes in the bottom of corncobs so she can put them onto squirrel feeders. it is the ideal tool for that use.

About a week later I heard her mention something about using "her pocket knife" for something at work. Being curious (I had tried to give her knives before but she never carried them) I asked to see it. Sure enough, it was (formerly) my Electrician.

Now the only time I get to see it is when it needs tape residue cleaned off the blade and the edge touched up.

At least she has good taste. It was my first Alox SAK and was one of my favorites.

when i bought my alox classic i stuck my old black scaled classic on my wifes key chain.
after a few days it disappeared, and i was rather upset about it

come to find out, she took it off her key ring and keeps it in her desk at work, apparently her and the other ladies in the office get alot of use out of it, i think its mostly used for the scissors but hey, i am glad they are getting use out of it :p

Excellent story. I have an old electrician and for the life of me can't locate it any more. It will probably turn up eventually.
