While out shopping with the family yesterday I happened to somehow lose my Quartermaster QTR-2 Texas Tea folder. I have never lost a knife so naturally I'm heartbroken right now as I can't find one to replace it.
Food has lost its taste, colors seem dull, the lack of weight in my right pocket is depressing....
It was such a great knife, wonderful ergonomics, could slice through a double walled cardboard box like nobodies business, and it had become a weekly occurrence to play show and tell in my shop because customers noticed the wicked awesome design.
I have broke down so many shipping boxes with it that I don't know what to do now, my co worker handed me a box cutter today and I stared at it like it was some sort of child's toy....sigh

Oh well, guess I will drown in my tears right?

Anyways...if anybody has one keep me in mind because I am WTB. Now to dig through my stash and find a replacement to carry.:(

Check your laundry, look under the sofa!, check the void in between the seat of your car!!!

:(

Sorry you lost your EDC, I'm sure you can find a suitable replacement eventually, but don't let this get you down there are always more opportunities for a new EDC!

In times like these: of loss, grief, and mourning, I like to imagine bad poetry:

"Little knife,
I'm sad you had to die.
Spread your wings,
and learn to fly.
"
;)

Rappy and Jesse thank you for your words of encouragement and poetry, even though its bad poetry lol
I have checked all three vehicles in the driveway even though I didn't ride in them all yesterday, just to be thorough. I have torn my room apart twice in my search!
I just finished calling every place I visited yesterday and still no luck, good thing is that if somebody picked it up and they want to sell it there is probably a 15-25% chance it could come across my path in that city.

Im sure I will recover from this loss JD Ware is shipping me a custom folder he has been making for me for the past few months this week so that will help my spirits...
I am blessed enough to have multiple choices in my knife stash to choose from I just don't want to subject my collectors and Chris Reeve knives to heavy use.

If you have one of those "high efficiency" washing machines, look deep in the gaskets. I lost a kershaw like this once, it was gone for an entire month until I found it buried in the gasket all rusted:D Flitz cleaned it right up thankfully.

So sorry my man. That really sucks.

I lost a Busse Leaner Meaner Street once. Was going crazy trying to find it. After a while I gave up on it and moved on.

Then I found it. In my bag. It had fallen flat and tucked itself into a corner.

I hope you find it!

I know how you feel I lost a ZT 0777 a few months ago and it was the first time I lost a knife. I turned the house and car upside down for a whole week. It was never found. I hope you do!
PS: check your car

Lost a Kershaw Chill with thumb studs which was a special run for a store. My first kershaw and I still mourn it's lost, that was almost 4 years ago.

I feel your pain, I once lost a folder, after a year or so, my wife says look what I found. It was in a suit coat that I seldom wear.

Well, if it was stolen, I hope the bastard tries to shave with it and "accidentally" severs his carotid.

Best of luck man. I lost my Gayle Bradley, but finally found it three months later, in the cats litter room.

My heart goes out to you, man. A couple of months back, I took the family to a drive-in movie. I was flicking away during the movie like I always do. Even got down to buy snacks and take my daughter to the bathroom. When we got home, my pocket was empty! Tore the truck apart and couldn't find it anywhere.

At first light the next morning, I saddled the fam up and drove 4 towns over to that drive-in. Lo and behold, the knife was on the ground, covered in dirt, in the same area where we parked. Must have fallen off my lap or something. Sure, I had to the jump the fence and steer clear of a guard dog, but it was totally worth it!

Sorry for your loss, but keep looking! I have had then hang on seatbelts in vehicles before. The last one that I lost spent almost two weeks hooked on an afghan that we had on the couch. My knife was hanging on, folded up inside, and I didn't find it until next time we used it.

I feel your pain, bro. I stress when I can't find a cheap $10 blade, much less something nice.

Thanks for sharing your stories everyone, makes me feel better that I'm not alone haha.

Good thing is, it looks like most of you guys found yours so my fingers are crossed that mine turns up!

I'd hate to lose one of my nicer knives. I lose my work knives all the time at work. I set them down on a trackhoe or bulldozer's tracks when I'm busy doing something. Then forget I sat it down and walk away. Usually when I'm in a somewhat hurry. About half the time I find them ran over by the dozer or hoe. I now try to make it a point to take 10 seconds and clip them to my pocket instead of setting them down.

Hope you find it.
