Lost my first ESEE

I've been on a bad knife buying binge this month. It started with a handful of ESEES then escalated to Busses. And just when I thought it was safe to get back on the forums, I discovered I'd lost my brand new pink Izula. Considering I never took it out of the house, I found this strange.

I either tossed it out with some of the packaging from one of the new knives, tossed it in with the packaging of one of the many folders I sold to pay for the binge or it fell off the desk into the garbage.

To make matters worse, when I went to order a new Izula, I accidentally ordered a Junglas and Machete. Why? Because I wanted an ESEE with a skull logo.

I need help.

has your ex GF been buy for a visit? i'm sure that's where my Newt Livesay neckers went... can't find them anywhere and know that i didn't accidentally throw them out. :grumpy:

i have a few other blades that are still packed from the move or something, and i "misplaced" a full size rifle for a few weeks. took me for freaking ever to find it.

Sorry for your loss... I feel your pain..... ;)

And don't feel too bad, I have "accidentally" ordered knives myself sometimes.. :D

I hope you find your Izula soon. It's probably in the house somewhere. I have lost some pretty big things during moves as well. Once I lost my 65L backpack for about 6 months in the house. Drove me nuts since I went through "everything" about a million times, only to find it in the bottem of a box with extra bedding supplies from our last move. As soon as I saw it I remembered putting it in there but it's weird how your mind plays tricks on you like that sometimes.

I lost a knife during a mad dash to the car with my son on my back, wouldn't have been to bad except for the 3ft of snow it dropped into...it was found by my father in law, with a snow blower.

I've so far found all but a few pieces of it.
It sucks to lose a knife!

dude no worries, with ESEE killer warranty just hit 'em up and they'll send you a new one..:D

sorry to hear about that, I think the same thing happened to my truck keys with fob...
much rather had lost a knife:confused:

cya

Dark Waters,
Get the pieces of the snow blower knife back to us for a new one. Just run through the instructions on the warranty page on our web site. Mike

I FOUND my izula that's been missing since the last camp out!

Probably hidden in one of the kiddies backpacks or some such. Na, Mommy will never miss it. Hehe

My guess is that the knife wasn't an ESEE knife. Otherwise, we'd be talking about how his knife tore up the snow blower. :D

Loosing knives sucks. I, too, lost my RC-3 three weeks ago on a rafting trip. It was a week long trip and the darned thing happened on the second day, backpack going overboard and coming back without the knife. I thought it was well secured using the MOLLE attachment to an outside strap, but I guess it wasn't. It may have hit a rock.

I had a back-up Izula in my pocket. It served me very well for the remainder of the trip, doing everything that the RC-3 was doing. It was the first time I worked it hard and am very impressed with it. It lost the shaving sharpness it had fairly quickly, but kept an working edge for the rest of the trip without needing resharpening (and I did a lot of bushcrafting tasks and whittling with it). The disadvantage was that it was wrapped with paracord and left my hand with quite a few blisters. Water trip + blisters = no fun.:p

The Izula is a very good whittler and chip carver.

I lost my CRKT Minimalist neck knife today...noticed the sheath was empty...I had played some volleyball so i figured it had fallen out then...but i looked around the house anyway.

Somehow it was just between the couch cushions.
...it stayed with me while i was jumping around...but fell out while i was just watching TV? Weird.

Wow wasn't even an ESEE and you guys will replace it, now that's a warrenty.

Just kidding!

It was my BlindHorseKnives Longtrail, not an ESEE. Just like ESEE, BHK stand by their knives and made me a new one.

The replacement Izula came yesterday and -- POOF -- the one I lost appeared. It was hanging on my drum set which is in my office right behind my chair. I must have been fidgeting with it and hung it there when the phone rang.

Something tells me having an extra inexpensive razor sharp one of these won't be a bad thing.

Glad you found it.

Now, try not to order more...especially when the Izula 2 is available... I dare ya. Resistance is futile.

Now that I have 2, I have to order handles for one of them. And then I'll have to pay for shipping unless my order is $100, so I'll have to get a 6 to round out the collection. At that point, the only thing missing will be a 5 and a HEST -- and since both have skulls ....
