This morning we were running a bit late for church. I switched pants, including moving my Case XX Folding Hunter and its sheath to the belt on the new britches. Sunday school started a bit late, so we weren't but a few minutes late after all.
After church, I went fishing at a pond up the road that I'm blessed to have permission to fish anytime I want. When I went to change lures, I reached for my belt knife, and it was gone! I used my Case 75 pattern Jumbo Stockman, but remained concerned at the lack of my 65 pattern Folding Hunter.
I figured that the knife had just slipped out of the sheath during the pants swap, which happened bedside. Occasionally, I have lost a knife, or my Leatherman tool, or my wallet, and found it by the bed. Well when I got home, it was the first place I looked. It wasn't there. So, I commenced to root through the covers, and still couldn't find it. I then proceeded to look through the car, to no avail.
Then, I saw a tupperware container in the back of the car that reminded me of the microwaved biscuits we had on the ride to church. The wife had asked me to make those, and instead of trying to rip the packages open via a pull tab corner, I used my belt knife like always. I immediately knew I'd left the knife laying on the kitchen table.
I went back in, and there she was. Whew!

I'd hate to lose this knife. I use it constantly throughout the day for small tasks from re-tying fishing lures to opening vittles.
