Well after months of trying I caught one. Bought it from Dalerich. What a great guy. My zt 561 may end up in my big safe. If it weren't so hot looking I'd sell it. If I get lucky at blade ill sell it for ti scales. I'm very happy. I think I'll dump the carbon scales for g10 . The carbon chips more readily than the g10 right.

Hey congrats, I just got my first XM too, and guess what....I like carbon scales so maybe.......PM sent.

Rule No. 1. No pics, it didnt happen.

Welcome to the tribe. I just joined last month. I have some CF scales but have not tried them yet. It is all good. I am liking the blue this week.

WHAT NO PICS!!!!!
Come on!!!!

Congratulations on owning one of the best made knives in the world!!

I am genuinely Happy for you guys. I can not tell you how I enjoyed receiving my first Hinderer. The anticipation was great and when it arrived I sat there contemplating opening the box and when I finally did I just sat there kind of rolling the knife around in my hand.
It was a NIB purchase off of the Bay. It was a Gen 3 spanto flipper, green scale (It has now become my full Ti EDC featured in many pics) after a year of EDC it still is without scratch or blem (Godbless the tumbled finish of Hinderer) it easily fillets anything presented to it.
Never sharpened, just stropped. It is a BEAST. It monopolizes my right pocket and is my joy during the day when I need it.
Call it my "worry bead" or "spiritual focal point" matters not - it works for me and that is all I care about.
I thank Rick and Rob as I do often because they build and create stuff that matters to folks and that is pretty cool.

Congrats! I got my XM a couple months ago and it has yet to leave my pocket for any other knife. Truly the best modern/"tactical" folder out there IMO. Enjoy it!

You get smooth or textured carbon fiber?

Threads are always better with pics. Allows many of us to hold or tongue on silly questions because we can see the answers to many common ones.

My first XM freaked me out. I could not believe how stout and beefy it was, so SHARP too!
Oh, and really nice looking, smooth opening and closing.
Feels almost like holding a pistol in your hand.

So, you want pictures? Smooth and Textured CF, with a few others in G10.

Nice score! I'd keep the CF.
Rubi your experience describes mine exactly. People think I'm a whack job because I fondle mu XM so much.:D

Arrrrg. Well it happened cutting some carrots for the dogs and the edge slipped off the board onto the counter slightly rounding the edge. It's definitely my edc now. How often do you sharpen your edc hinderer

For those who have one - No explanation needed.

For those who do not - No explanation possible.;)

I just scored a smooth carbon scale from one of the Hinderer ADs, the only one from a search of all the US and international dealers.
It sure is hard work getting Hinderered up.
