Lost my knife (sniff)

This didn't happen yesterday, it happened about 15 years ago but it is still bugging me.

I've carried a pocket knife for decades. As a school boy, I carried either a penknife or a barlow. In college, I bought a cheap lockback that I carried a for a few years and it served me well (most often as a can opener for fruit juice to make Everclear punch).

One day, I was wandering through the mall and this boot store had a clearance table sitting out front. Always looking for a deal, I stopped to browse. On that table was a small lockback with brass bolsters that were engraved with curly-cues, the price tag was $15. "What a cute Pakastani knife," I said to myself. I picked it up anyway and was surprised to discover that it was a Gerber. So I bought it. I later saw a similar knife in a sporting goods store for $50 but I think that I got a good deal.

I carried that knife for years until the fateful day. My company had a gym in our building and I'd work out before I headed to my office. I knew that the knife was in my pants when I left the house. I exercised, showered, and when I got dressed, my knife wasn't in my pocket. Before you ask, the locker was locked. I went to car and searched it but no joy. I searched the parking garage but no joy. I posted a note on the bulletin board but no one 'fessed up to finding my knife.

I don't even know what the knife was called to help me find a replacement. It had a 2 1/2" or 3" drop pointed blade, brass bolsters and a wooden scales.

I've had other knives that I've carried since that time such as my Buck 500, Beretta Airlight and my Kershaw Blackout but I still miss that knife.

Any ideas about what that knife might have been called?
