I just lost or had stolen a knife a buddy got me.
I don't think I have ever lost a knife, misplaced, but not lost.

I know there's not a lot of love for Sog, especially this model, but my Sogzilla was a very good knife. It was all black, blade too, very sharp and rugged. I thought that I left it on my work bench over night. The middle of the next day I looked high and low but to no avail.:( We have never had a problem with thievery but I just don't know where it went.

So I ordered a new one yesterday.:) Green handle, satin finish on the blade. I guess I'll be a little more cautious leaving it lie around, and maybe easier to spot.

.

I hate losing knives, but if I lose one, I hope its a sog :D

Should have bought an endura as a replacement.

I hate losing a knife. I've lost a few over the years.

Look on the bright side. Now you must get a new one!!!!

P.S. Preferably not a SOG.

A while back I lost a practically new Bench Made Mini Rampage. It was a fine knife. I carried it on the clip in my right pocket and never had had any problem. That day I was riding with my daughter in her Surburban and of course sitting in the passenger seat. When I got home I noticed that my knife was missing. That was the last time I have carried a knife on the clip. The seatbelt neatly picked it out of my pocket and I didn't hear it hit the ground. I once carried two knives and my Spyderco Native was carried on the clip in my left pocket. It came up missing but I got lucky. After a couple of days I discovered it hanging from my seatbelt on the drivers side. That cured me from clipping a knive in the left pocket but after the Bench Made I don't carry any on the clip any longer. By the way, I immideately ordered a new Mini Rampage and it rides inside of my pocket at the bottom. No longer clipped.

You got a laugh out of me :D That was a good one.
Some people drive Corvettes and others are happy with Escorts. I liked my Sog.:)

Edit: but if it had been an Endura what a travesty on losing that.

I have only lost two.
A brand new Kershaw Lahar. Lost at the gas station only days after purchase. Only left it for ten minutes. I returned and it was gone.
Also a Buck Goliath that I lost while hiking. The whole sheath snapped off of me.
Always a sad thing.

yea sucks i lost a delica a few years ago. i think i lost it at a junkyard looking to get a side mirror for my grandmothers old firebird. needless to say now i have one in vg10. i hope whoever found it enjoyed it like i did.

I've only ever outright lost two knives, both early in my carrying career. I've misplaced several in my collection though, but they usually turn up when I start cleaning out stuff.

The first one I lost was a Spyderco, one of my first clip knives (my grandfather was a huge Spyderco fan and got me it as my first clip knife). I don't even remember the model (this was at least 15+ years ago). It had fallen off my pants when I got in to his truck and had fallen on the running board without me knowing. We drove the truck around and heard something fall off the floorboard. Someone later picked up a Spyderco off the street in Phoenix for sure ;)

The other one I lost was a Schrade Joe Beaver LE. No idea where or how I lost it, I just know it's lost.

I have come to the conclusion that the only way to not lose gear is to never buy it. I have lost my loved Dogleg Jack back in fall. Then I started losing flashlights. First my Novatac 120p just before Christmas. Then my Qmini123 about four weeks ago. Then on friday I reached for my Centofante3 and it was gone, then I looked on the floor of my truck and it was there - whew - its a very nice carrying knife. As I was clipping it back in, my hand brushed against my empty Fenix P3d case. Gone, I have an idea where it fell out, but we had a blizzard start shortly after. So that is three lights in three months, I am so sick of losing my gear.

no fun. I lost a 1st production ez out gerber in an attic several years back.

The only time I've "lost" a knife, i found it in a pair of dirty jeans
and by found i mean the blade had opened from being tossed around and it cut the dickens out of my pinky

What he said! :D :D

I lost 4 Italian made 4" blade side opening leverlock switch blades. I hope to find them. I was loaded and hid them somewhere a couple of years ago. :(

Only knife i've lost was stolen fairly recently. It was a spyderco police G10 model. I loved that beast, but it flew out of my pocket at a show, and when i went back to find it, someone had snatched it

Back in the early '90s I accidentally left my Cold Steel Tanto in the dorm kitchen after using it to cut up a chicken. Unfortunately, somebody decided to take it.
