I was on a citizen assist, helping a stuck motorist "unstuck" his car, slipped in the snow and slush a few times.
Got back to the station, went to use my knife to cut open a box and it was gone from the thigh pocket on my uniform pants.
I know you feel my pain.
I'm carrying a MT LCC now, great knife one of the best off-duty knives I have found, but The Military was the BEST duty folder I have ever used. Looks like I'll be scouting the for sale forum.

Pants and clips are a complex thing! The clip on my Sentinel is bent, which happened all of a sudden one day out of the blue (actually I think goblins did it) and now it doesn't grab most of my pant pockets all that well at all. I am careful about when I carry it. I would take the clip off and fix it except for the fact that the little screw aren't exactly the same size (really, they aren't! pisses me off!) and I have yet to find an allen key that can do the job.

Anyways, I also "lost" my AFCK twice, but found it both times luckily, while wearing a particular pair of pants that are thin and the clip just couldn't get a good enough hold on my pants. I am careful in that situation now too!

Were your pants thin? Was the clip o.k.? Did goblins take your knife?

I feel your pain. But, as they say, time heals all wounds. Buy another Military ASAP to speed the process up.

To bad, I would sure hate to have anything like that happen to my Military. A real shame.

Actually, I never use the clip (nowadays)after loosing several knives carrying them "the clip way". Then I said, enough is enough, and started using pouches and sheaths instead.

I had a post in the Spyderco Forum regarding this matter. As it looks, Sal and his crew are now considering to start manufacturing a pouch or sheath to fit every Spydie model! PLZ, take a look:

That is definately above and beyond the call of duty.

Looks like you will have to find a replacement asap. As much as I like the Military, I have found the Wegner makes a better duty knife for me.

Crayola, if you're talking about a Benchmade Sentinel, then you probably never will find an allen key to do the job. BM uses TORX head screws. On the older models I have, the Torx size is T7. On my newer ones, they are T6. I picked up both sizes at Sears here in the States for under $4, iirc. Don't know where you might find them in Canada, or what they might cost.

MILITARY FOUND!!!!!!
I went back to the scene for a third time, was looking around with a flashlight, citizen comes out asks what I'm looking for, I explained what happened and he says "I'll be right back"
Comes back a minute later with my beloved Military.
Wow, now I am a happy camper.....
Take care all,
Chad

How lucky can you get? I know the people on my beat would have kept it.

Now you have no reason to not get a Wegner.

Very lucky, almost unbelievable. The best part is that I already cries to my wife over my lost knife and got the purse strings pulled for a replacement blade.
Life is good.....
