Only the 3rd knife in my 60 years that I have lost. I have Hinderers, CRK, Spydercos, etc.. but once I got the Hogue mini-RSK, they all became safe queens. It is truly a fantastic knife. Light, strong, very capable steel and of course the axis style lock is not only a good lock, but fun to use. I have "mis-placed" it before, but after a week, I am calling it a loss. I can't live without it and ordered another. I will be whole again :)

It is always horrible, but sounds like you bounced back well. As they say, one is none.

Just a suggestion.

That's a bad piece of luck RG. I'm glad to hear your getting another.
I'm always walking in circles looking for my Yeti mug or Iphone.
"Knock on wood" no knife losses yet.:)

I just spent an hour re-tracing everywhere that I remember being on Saturday. Worked on my boat & in my garage most of the day. Searched both several times. Just now, I went to the basement to check the salt in the softener and when I left the utility room, there was my knife laying on the floor in the family room. Geez, I can't even remember being there. Thought about cancelling my order with KW, but of course the new one shipped today. Maybe I'll keep or maybe I'll trade.

One thing I will say. The stock pocket clip is NOT stout enough. I took it off a few times to bend it back in. I may look for a really nice after market clip.

Yeah I got the full size and haven't even carried it much because I've been less than impressed with the clip...need to get find an aftermarket one. Glad you found your knife.

I'm missing a mini barrage for going on two years now. I lost it mowing the yard. Still keeping my eyes open and hoping it turns up. Last lost and found I had around here was a KaBar Dozier Design folder that just plain disappeared. Ordered two to replace it and found the lost one out by the garden not long after the new ones arrived. Still hoping to find that mini barrage.

I lost my Spyderco GB1 for a month. I had upward of 40 folders at the time, but I was still miffed. Found it in a very obvious place. I think my cat hid it.

Been 5 years and 2 moves since my dragonfly 2 zdp disappeared...

The worst was my poor ESEE Izula. Didn't notice it was gone for a while. Turned out my ex had used it for chopping ice...and left it wet in the sheath all summer. It was beyond repair.

I have the same problem with the pocket clip.I haven’t carried mine in a while because of the pocket clip. This post reminds me I need to go ahead and order a new clip while it’s on my mind..the Hogue Deka is a great knife as well..I like them both better than the standard Benchmade Bugout.the RSK and Deka are about the same price as the Bugout and very similar to the Bugout except they have better scales and better blade steel..I’ve also read Hogue uses a higher quality spring in their Able lock than Benchmade uses in their Axis lock

Hogue uses Wolff springs. They make good springs for a lot of equipment. My new mini RSK is sitting untouched in the box. Debating on whether to trade/sell or just hang on to it in case I lose mine or they discontinue the orange.

I'm glad you found your old one...it feels good.
The mini would be too small for me, as I like the longer blade. I will say, however, that
the thin blade-stock must slice like a real winner...
