Got my first custom slipjoint from Rob Thomason on the exchange, it was a small Snakewood scaled folder with a drop point Ray Cover.
I got it in the mail, slipped it into a William Henry clipped pouch and clipped it to my pocket, all day it was there and I fondled and proudly showed to everyone I could.
About 7:00pm we went to my daughter's boyfriends Band Concert at School, it was a long day and I was up and down and in and out of the chair in the auditorium, come 9:00 pm we left and went home, as I went to empty my pockets I noticed the knife case was empty.
First I got a rash of crap from my wife for bringin' it to school, (yes I should've known better) then I searced the truck and what ever I was wearin' that day, nothing.
I got up early the next morning and went to the parkin' lot to look around, nothin'.
I went inside and searched where I was sittin' and even spoke with someone who took my info for security and the custodians incase some one turned it in, fat chance
.
I went home with the phone #s for Custodial and Security with nothin' to do but wait till Monday to call back.
While my wife was cleanin' the place I sit on the floor in the livin' room she picked up a denim work shirt and guess what tumbled out?
Yep, my brand new custom Ray Cover Slipjoint, man was I happy and my wife was relatively nice in returnin' my knife, she didn't even say, "I told ya so.".
A happy ending.
