I lost my favorite knife today. It has been my edc for 6 months or more, it replaced the caly3 for me as the one. I still have the caly3, as well as a Sage2, but it is still not the same. i had just sharpened it.:(

Today was a bad day.

Sorry to hear that. I also favor the sage1 over the sage2 and caly3. Maybe it will turn up eventually.

Sorry for your loss. I hope you find it soon.

I lost a CRK lg. seb 11 months ago and found it 2 weeks ago. Very strange

how I found it. I had a burned out headlight and found the CRK in a box I

had some headlight bulbs in. Really glad I found it...I never gave up hope

thou.

Keep looking...odd places where you think it couldnt be..it might be there.

Look at it this way. You lost a knife that you held in pretty high regard. If you never find it:

At worst someone finds it and uses it to pry a hubcap off their '74 Ford and snaps the blade in two. At least you don't have to witness it.

At best, someone that doesn't have experience with a quality knife finds it, it piques his or her interest and he/she becomes a knife nut and Spyderco fan because of your loss.

your loss just might bring another into the world of great knives.

Don't stop looking though. Sorry 'bout your loss if it doesn't turn up.

I'm truly sorry bro. I definitely agree with the other comments. A great knife for the price. Maybe try out a Gayle Bradley. Its one of those that I kinda want to try, but haven't because it seems similar to the Stretch 2 that I already have. But the sage 1 is one of the better EDC folders on the market right now. I know that is hotly contested, but from the spyderco's that I have fondled, the sage seems to stay in my pocket longer than the others.

That is a bummer. I would feel badly too if it happened to me.
I usually blame this kind of thing on gravity. It pulls everything out and down.
It doesn't sound like you were being careless, it's just one of those gravity things.
Hope you can find it or replace it soon.

I feel ya. I hope you find it soon. But as stated above, this is the best excuse to get a new one.

@ orchunter93 : As for Gayle Bradley, get it! I got mine last week, and that knife is phenomenal !

Sorry to hear about you losing your Sage I. Mine bit me last night. Just a small puncture wound. As with most injuries, I wasn't using it in the safest manner. Of course just before I poked myself, I thought "I really shouldn't hold the knife this way..." I was carving some ipe that I am using to make scales for a Kershaw Chill.

It has returned home! I saw it poking out the top of a coworkers pocket. He is in a different department and i don't know him very well but he gave it right up. He found it in the bottom of a condor. (big extending arm manlift).
I carried the Sage 2 for a day, the Caly3 for another. I rolled with the Rock Lobster today but it sure is nice to get numero uno back.

It sure did make me look at the Sage3.

Maybe you should hook that guy up with one of your older, non-used Spydies? A Delica perhaps?

I'm glad you got your knife back.
