Not really, As you know we recently moved and been cleaning up the gardens, well there was a couple of over grown trees out the front I cut 1back and left the other as ran out of room to put any more.. Well the other morning I spent out in the back doing some tidying, late morning went in to clean up heard an odd sound out the front. So went out to have a look , here was the bloke from across the way cutting at it with his electric hedger, so I thanked him and we had a chat, he noticed he had missed a branch and would get his hand saw, told him not to worry and took out my harvester and cut it with the saw, he was really impressed. He told me he would bring his ladder over and do the top next couple of days and do the top, I said I'll do it as I have ladders, he didn't want me climbing ladders and he is in his mid 70sšŸ˜‰
He invited the wife and I over to have a look at his back yard, while there he said to his wife "really like his pocket knife" well my wife pipes up says " he'll give you 1"😯
Hadn't seen him for a few days (had to isolate for a few days until negative tests came through, daughter was deemed close contact in the Newcastle outbreak last weekend so we all had to get tested).
Caught up with him yesterday while he was watering his garden and gave him my victorinox tinker, good all rounderšŸ‘. He was really happy, first thing he did was take off the fittings and trim his hose "that was handy didn't have to go searching for tools" he said and put straight in his pocket, told him to bring it over when needs sharpening.
I think he will get lots of use out of itšŸ˜Ž

Mitch, it’s funny how a person can go 70 years and not have seen the usefulness of a good SAK. About 7 years ago I gave my Dad a Recruit. He used the screwdriver all the time. A year or so ago he lost it so I sent him a Tinker, which he liked even more. He found the recruit and wanted to send one back. I said ā€œDad, you’ve seen my knives, do you really think I need one back?ā€

Yeah I don"t think I will miss it.
A nice neighborly gesture…but I think your wife owes you a new Tinker lol
I'ld ask but I bought myself some crescent wiss utility shears & new norton stone yesterday.šŸ˜‰

Good on ya. I cannot even imagine getting through a day without my Tinker. I have had to replace it 4 or 5 times over the last 30 years. Worth every penny.
