Lost the ZT0500 to my son that is.:) He really took a shine to it and since he has recently become a voluntary firemen, I thought that this would be an excellent folder to carry since it is sealed. The area is rural, and several times a year they have brush fires to deal with so a sealed pivot and lock will be appreciated. So now that it is lost, I found another one at my friendly knife dealer named Roger. It will be in my grubby little hands tomorrow! My last one was put through the paces and it has done an excellent job. The blade is still as tight as the day it came out of the box with no bladeplay at all, in any direction. I've read where several folks have gotten some vertical play after a period of time. I don't really baby my knives, but I also don't go out of the way to take it to the max, but I feel with the work this knife has done it would have already developed vertical play if it were going too. Anyway I'm looking forward to getting it as I have some ideas on how to mod the clip that I think will work better than on my lost one. These ZT's are so nice that even though I have had this one for a year or so, I'm still looking forward and anticipating getting a replacement.:D

i feel sorry about your lost. but i'm sure your son is happy! :D it will be interesting to hear how you are going to mod the clip! :)

I am going to elongate the screw hole so that the clip can be slid down and fit between the ears. This will help it to be tighter because as it comes the clip really moves back and forth in my hand, feeling like it is going to snap off at any moment. I am also going to take some JB Weld and put it on the under part of the clip, where it makes the 90 degree turn, actually going to make a little arch. Have not done this before so it help to strengthen the clip, and then again it may just fall off!
