Well my week didn't start off too good with the loss of my Kershaw Blur SG2. I'm still not completely sure what happened to it. The only thing I can think of is it got caught on something while helping a friend with his truck and is now in the grass on the side of I-95 somewhere.
Tonight, however, things got substantially better. I was telling a family friend, who is also into knives, about it and afterwards he handed me his Benchmade Mini-Dejavoo and said "No man should be without a good knife." I tried to turn him down at first since it's a pretty pricey knife, but he finally talked me into taking it (then showed me the Microtech SOCOM he's going to start carrying).
Man, what a knife! This thing is smooth as butter. All I have to do is give it a little push with my thumb and it opens right up. I really like the big broad blade, and the low-ride pocket clip is great. You can't even tell it's there from the outside because it just looks like another pen.
Overall I'm still sad about the loss of my Blur since it was the first really nice knife I have bought, but I guess things worked out in the end.
