i lost one of the screws that holds the pocket clip on my Spyderco Delica 4. what do i do? will spydero send me a replacement here in the PHIlippines?:D i think the thereads in the holes are getting loose thats how i lost the screw, now i'm afraid i'm going to lose another one soon.

You should be able to get some more screws either direct from Spyderco, or by buying from ebay. A drop of Loc-tite on each screw will hold it in place. No worries.

You should locktite the loose screws. They come that way from the factory. I assume you have unscrewed the screws? They might be stripped from not heating to losen up the locktite. If that's the case than a new screw won't help much. It needs to go back to W&R.

I can't speak for them, but I would be really surprised if Spyderco wouldn't send you several for free, even being out of the country. The cost to send something so tiny is pretty negligible.

hmmmmm it wont hurt to give it a try :D i'll send spyderco an email in the morning

that was on my mind too. i was thinking of putting a drop of super glue on the screw. do you think thats a gud idea?

The screw size for the D4 clip is M2.3x.4x4mm. You may be able to find them locally. I would go longer if you can find them, as the 4mm ones only screw in 1 turn. Get some 5mm or 6mm if you can find them.

I wouldn't use super glue. Use Blue thread locker as it can be removed if needed.

I always try to locktite the screws. I do usually use the one that is designed to come off , not stay on when needed, usyally with heat.

presz, thanks for the tip. won't the 5mm or 6mm screw reach the blade when installed?
I don't think it will be a problem, if you are carrying tip up. I just tried a longer screw from my Stretch on my Delica clip and it just barely stuck though the liner. The longer screws let you get 3 good turns on the screws instead of 1 to 1 1/2. The Stretch needs longer screws as well it is worse than the Delica on screw turns.

If you carry tip down the screws do need to be shorter as to not hit the blade at the pivot.

i do carry tip down. i sent an email to spyderco about my problem and they're sending me some screw here in the PHILIPPINES! what great service they provide. Hats of to them.

If you don't have a good torx driver already, I'd recommend you get a set of Wiha's. They aren't too expensive, but they work much better than the hardware store ones and will save you money in the long run. They won't crumble over time like a lot of other drivers, and they're accurate enough that you can tighten your screws down properly (just hand-tight) without stripping them.
