Lost Password Button Bug

A Knifemaker Member, Cousin Jack, has been emailing moderators about some difficulties he's been having for several days now. The current problem is when he clicks the "lost password" button he receives the email with the new password right away, but when he tries to log in with it he gets an error message saying the password request is over 24 hours old and therefore no longer valid so he should start over. He has started over a number of times and always gets that error message. He is not waiting over 24 hours to use the new password; he's trying it immediately.
 
If he hits it repeatedly, then the previous request is invalidated, so he has to wait for the most recent request to show up, not hit it, then hit it again and use the first email that comes in. Plus it looks like he never activated his profile since he's in the "Users awaiting email confirmation" category, with his profile showing a hughes.net email address. Tell him to reactivate his profile clicking on the link in the email he should have received (the activation code email) and he should be right as rain.
 
This all started when he changed his email address, and didn't get the confirming email -- the new email address works; maybe an overactive spam filter got it ... he couldn't find it in the spam box.... I told him to try the lost password button so the system would send him another confirming email, and he received that one ... only the system thinks it's over 24 hours old. :confused:
 
Ok, I'll send him another set of activation codes, when he get's that he should be able to get in using his old password

No, really.....thanks for fixing this for me.:thumbup: I think there was a ghost in the system.
 
It's not somethign you really could have known about IIRC - I'm not sure if his profile publically read that he was in the "Users awaiting email confirmation" group
