Hi all. I'm not a regular contributor here, but I am a regular reader and really appreciate this community of CRK fans.

I just needed to vent about losing my Small PJ Insingo yesterday. I so bummed. It was my favorite knife I've ever owned, and has taken up most if not all of my pocket time since I got it. I was using it and commenting to my fiance not two days ago, "this is the greatest knife ever created." She just smiled and nodded (I am a lucky guy, she is very accepting and supportive of my hobbies). But there is really nothing special about my knife other than that it was mine. I bought it for myself, and I was really proud of that. The blade size and shape are absolutely perfect to me, and it is the epitome of EDC in my eyes. It's my desert island folder, and what I hoped would be something I would have forever.

At the same time, I realize that owning a Sebenza is just a much a hobby as it is using a tool, and is both a hobby and a tool that that so many people could never afford. I think this has made me grateful in a roundabout way, for all of the things I have that so many others don't.

Just as a PSA, and I feel like such an idiot for this, but I am pretty sure I lost it while trying on clothes at a department store yesterday. At some point it must have slipped out of my pocket during the changing process. I am usually very attentive to my pockets, but I think I will be hyper-vigilant in the future. Check your pockets, people!

FWIW I called all of the stores I visited yesterday and left my name and number in case it gets turned in, but nothing yet. I am also scouring Craigslist, Letgo, and OfferUp in case it pops up there. I am holding out a sliver of hope but I think I may just have to get used to being without a Sebenza for a while.

Thanks for listening. Send Insingo pics.

That sucks! I loathe losing stuff; it drives me absolutely crazy. I start looking all over wherever I go in my house, expecting to see it out of the corner of my eye...

You might try printing card sized reward offered cards and lost knife, emotional attachment to the store employees , most people can't imagine a knife is worth more than $5 , or is important.... Bart PS it sucks , I've lost a few, some do return! Keep the faith!

Sorry to hear brother. On that note, has anyone though about using a label printer to stick their info on the inside face of their carry knives just in case this were to happen?

I have had it happen before that when lifting my t shirt the bottom of the shirt somehow hooked onto my small 21 pocket clip and pulled it out of my pocket. Luckily I heard it fall.

Just be aware of that in the future.

That really stinks. Hopefully someone will turn it in and you’ll get it back. Sometimes something new, even if the same model, can’t replace what was lost.

Sorry for your loss and hope you can replace it soon.
The only good part of this is that you know where you lost it. Gives you a little closure and you don't have to go nuts looking for it everywhere and forever.

Unless you saw it sink to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, even then you know where it's at. It's just temporarily irretrievable. My point is never give up hope. I found a knife that was missing for 5 years. It wasn't lost, just MIA.

I'll send some good luck vibes your way, hope you find it.
