Some of you may remember that two years ago I had a very expensive knife disappear. I had several ideas about it, who may have taken or found it, and some that I did not express.
Last Thursday, a man came into the store and handed a box to one of the gals, saying, " Give this to Stacy." ...and he left. They gave me the box, which I opened, and saw one of my knife cases. No real surprise, as people return knives to be sharpened or buffed regularly. I opened the case and it had the gold and diamond art knife in it. The knife clearly had not been touched or handled since I had last polished and cleaned it to prepare it for photos. There was still my business card in the case, too. There was no other note or anything else. The gals did not really get much of a look at the man beyond a basic description. I looked at the security tapes, and do not recognize the man.
I don't know what to say, and have been muling this over for a week. I had already forgiven the unknow person responsible two years ago and moved on. I harbor no ill toward them and I am happy that for whatever reason they decided to return the knife. I have some ideas, but there is no gain from spending time on them.
To the person who sent the knife back:
Thank You! You did the right thing and I forgive you.
To my fellow BFers.....Woo Hoo, my knife is back!!!!!!!
