Lots of Axes for sale in WA

dang! I should drive down there (I'm in vancouver). I feel like this will be what a lot of guys on this boards "estate sales" will be like once we pass :) Only issue is that gas alone will be $100 for me...hmmm

Ha Ha, all the way to the other end of the country for me the gas would be a killer not to mention they'd probably be gone before I could get there!

Speaking of Washington+axes, the Packwood Memorial Day Antique/Flea market is this weekend.

The kids must have cringed at the prospect of having to tidy up the place after dad passed away. Presumably the Estate featured some really neat stuff and would have been hi-graded very early on and the aim of this ad is to move the remainder of it. Be neat though to spend a morning or afternoon looking through that stuff.

I hit that and the estate sale this weekend and somehow I'm 300 bucks lighter

It was a 3hr drive for me but it was worth it. It’s now on my list of required yearly events.

The entire town pretty much shuts down and turns into a mile long flea market. There were several guys selling refurbished axes but no so much along the lines of loose heads.

Did you notice this guy’s stand? There were several other displays of his on either side of that as well.

I bought a rafting pattern from him after chatting with him some. I don't usually buy other people's hangs but the price was right.

Also noticed many were marked Axe Junkies and Thompson Tool Works.

Didn’t ask him if he was a member here but that last mark made me think of Olybears.

there are usually a couple of axe junkie guys there, I ran out of money before I got to that end of town.

The axe guys were grouped together in the last set of tents on the westernmost side of town. I was impressed with the number of barn pulley systems of all things.
