Lots of new models... but no Swamp Muk yet?

I tend to be more of a lurker on BF.

As a low-level knife-addict I am occasionally oppressed with a strong desire for a new sharp, pointy tool. I own my fare share (more than I use regularly), including an RMD and HRLM (my first BusseKin). But lately I've become more and more interested in the Nessmuk-style wilderness knife. I searched the net a bit for various renditions, and the only ones that really stuck out for me were the older (USA) Marbles Woodcraft knife and the Busse Hog Muk and Scrapyard Scrap Muk. Now of those three, my favorite design is the Hog Muk, but it's more than I can afford at this time, and the other two are hard to come by. I prefer the Marbles design to the SYKC...

But before I pull the trigger on one of those (IF I can find one in my budget), I thought I'd ask about any plans in the Swamp for their own Nessmuk knife? I mean, Busse & SYKC have them, and "Swamp Muk" makes a hell of a lot more sense than "hog muk" or "scrap muk". Just yesterday I was scraping some "swamp muck" out of my pond.

So, any plans for the swamp to release one of these soon? Pretty please? I'd jump all over an 8-9" oal, 3/16" SR-101 SwampMuk, much more than even the Hog Muk. I know they just show-cased a bunch more models, but...

Any other calls for this?

considering how long it took Busse to roll out theirs after they first announced it I wouldn't hold my breath. My guess is that with all the new models promised to us in 2011 you won't be seeing a MUK from the Swamp this year at least. The good news is though that you can now spend your money on some of the other cool models coming out to feed your growing addiction and hope for the best in 2012

Jerry stated it would never be offered again. I don't know if that includes Busse/Kin or just Busse.

I would go for a few Swamp Muks:cool::thumbup:

I think he also carefully said "in this configuration", which means that a number of very similar designs could be offered. There were already custom versions of it on the counter at Blade 2011.

MonsterDog,
I can't remember everything I read however, had the impression this knife would not be made again. I may have read too much into it but, remember thinking that even though it did not make sense too me because the demand seemed to be there for it on the Muk thread. You may very well be right and could come around again.
