but i am not the cash paying collector. take it to a show and see what they think. one thing i have learned is to let the buyers decide. and keep my personal feelings out of it. i hsve had what i thought was a ugly duckling be the first sold.LOL

I'm with Rhino on this one. It doesn't suit my taste, but you can bet it will be right up someone else's alley. The materials do go together well and it looks to be very well executed.

pretty spiffy if you ask me.

the materials match nicely and the blade is, of course  , very well executed as per usual.
:D

all in all 100% successful knife.

D.

I think it looks like a genuine riverboat gamblers knife. Or a pimp knife:) :) Actually, very classy, and I doubt you'll have it long.

Quite a bit too flashy for my tastes, but if I put myself into that kinda pretty boy/pimp mindset I can tell you hvae yet another winner. Definitley will hav eno problems selling it, and as usual, technically great knife. I do like the way the Nugold looks, though I wouldn't want a knife with quite that much of it. :)

Well, I always have had some rather, er, "Pimp"ly tastes... :D I like it! What's Nu Gold? And when are you going to relieve the suspense and show us how to do that framed handle?

Dave

Love the pins too, Bruce, nice knife.

Very cool, I personaly like silver better, but I know some of the old ones were guilded or made with gold and like was said would make a great gambler's or fancy Dan's knife. You going to use NUgold for the sheath?

BTW, what's NU gold?

Thanks everybody..

Dave as for the wrap around the handle. It is not a easy operation to explain or do.I will show it some day.But if you want to email me I will try and explain it to you.

Will,Yes I am planning a Nu-Gold sheath also...
To answer your questions about what it is..It is Basically Bronze that has a percentage of gold in the mix, some people don't put any gold in the mix and still call it nu-gold.Rio Grande has it but only in casting ingots, the guy I listed above is the only one I know of with it in sheet form but his doesn't have the gold in the mix.So it is really just a Bronze.

I just checked out this guys site and he doesn't list it as nu-gold there but his catalog does and it is his bronze on the web site..
Bruce

Bruce thanks. What gauge did you use for this? Will you use the same gauge for the sheath?

Check your mail, too.

Thanks,
Dave
