I thought he would've stuck around til his 90s just to piss people off/confound the sceptics.

i used to work for someone who was lou reed's roommate in college.
he used to tell stories, one being the day he brought him by for Thanksgiving Dinner in like 1960
long hair, yellow fingernail polish and hung over.
 
I guess the City of Rochester (NY) will never get all that back property tax they've been fighting him for now.
