Louisiana flood

Don't know if this is the right place to put this, mods move if not. I go by euroross here on the forums but my real names Ross and I live in Baton Rouge. If you've been paying attention to the news at all, south Louisiana is a total mess right now. Where I live (52.3 feet) I'm higher than most. But ALL around me it's bad. Real bad. I went out Saturday and Sunday to do boat rescues, got some friends from church out and some elderly people. Most of the elderly refused to leave. Lost my car while trying to get to some people on Saturday night. One of our own on here is my best bud and he and his family lost their home. They got to go in today and started to clean up. Sad. Please pray for all here in the beautiful state of Louisiana. Thank you :)

Prayers being send for everyone's safety and health during these dark times.
I'm in Southwest La. and we've been watching the disaster over the weekend.
A big thanks to all y'all that have been able to help out.
 
Terrible thing. Thankfully there are good people like you who are able to help out in such awful situations.
 
It is really a mess. How can you anticipate 24" of rain over a couple days? I feel for the folks who's homes are damaged and perhaps ruined by this flood. The TV pictures do not do the situation justice as far as the overall extent of this flooding.
 
People here in Mobile are putting together a lot of aid to LA flood disaster. My wife has been involved with Junior League gathering supplies and getting them to those in need. Many areas here in my coastal home town are flood prone. I was very selective in my home purchase, I am in one of the highest elevation neighborhoods in town. My heart goes out to everyone affected as many of my friends and colleagues have experienced the devastation of being flooded.
 
Prayers for everyone in the flood areas. I've been following the weather channel. The pictures are astonishing.
 
Houston's pitching in too. I am from Baton Rouge, lots of friends and family still there. We have a u-haul we are filling up and my neighbor is going to drive it over there this Saturday. Resilient people we are so we will be ok.
