I love the state, swamps, people, and especially the food.

What I don't understand is how they know absolutely nothing about making beer! This is the most horrible, after taste beer I have ever drank in my life! Thankfully it was free, but for obvious reasons. I assumed the "31" was in reference to LA State Hwy. 31 but it is not. It actually references the 31 different ways you will consider committing suicide to get out of finishing the rest of the six pack. Death by alcohol poisoning from over drinking Abita Springs beer, one only slightly higher on the quality list is one of those. :thumbdn:

Abita has a few REALLY good beers. Try Andygator next time.:thumbup:

The first three pics were taken at Lake Bruin up north. The next three were taken near Lake Maurepas down south.

What are you doing using that stainless paddle? That's blasphemous.:D

Can't wait for that next crawfish season.

I'm in St. Rose just west of New Orleans. I love Louisiana and yes Abita Beer makes many different beers and some are very good. Man I could roll around on that table just for the smell of some bugs right now. Can't wait till the spring. Great pics guys. Love the Rat Traps.

I live in New Orleans and agree with everything you said except that Abita Beer is wonderful. By the way I dig the last name. It would be something if you where from Danbury, CT.

I was born in Norco and still have lots of family off Murray Hill Drive, in Muntz and all around there. I was working at Valero for about a year before getting a LE job here.

Across the pond in Hammond now.

And you get years of faithful service out ss paddles :D:thumbup::thumbup:

I'm a Mississippi boy and wish I had spent more time on the coast and over in NO before katrina.

And, I was with you all the way up to Abita thing. I've never had that 31 stuff but theres another beer or two that comes from the LA that has been pretty decent. My suggestion is that you try all of the Abita beer line. I'll never buy a six of the fruity stuff again but one or two in mix seems to add a decent change on the flavor menu.

I'll have to do some more sampling. Can't wait for crawfish season.
