Anyone who says a Gatco can't handle a large heavy knife, well......it can. 
My trusty Gatco that I have had for many years, firmly held my BK2 blade in place while I ground a new edge on it and then finished it with three more stones......never budged in the clamp. And I didn't strip anything out either or come close
. Now that I have the bench clamp holder thing I can really achieve a nice consistent flat grind edge on almost any size knife. Love this thing.
