Love It, But . . .

2-4x for scales than what I spent on the knife I'm putting them on?
I wonder how many they'll actually sell.

At that price, there had better be at least a five-layer SAK included between those scales!

I'd even take a free two layer. anything besides two bits of plastic and an awkward-looking pocket clip.

Interesting that they cost more than the G-10 scales with clip. Maybe it's the material itself that costs so much.

The material is definitely the cost. I will be ordering the black or orange g10’s for sure though.

I  might be interested if they were $25 or less ... and my Huntsman came home.
At that price I could get three new $31.95 Huntsman ... or better yet, one $31.95 huntsman, a xl thin crust italian sausage/pepperoni/ mushroom/xtra cheeze pizza, and a couple 6 pack of dark beer or some honey mead, to have something to drink after 5 for a week er to.

I can justify $60. Brass, Ti or copper scales are usually double that

The g10 scales I bought for my rambler were as much or more than the knife, but we're still talking under a Grant all in.
With a titanium pocket clip and the glow dot i can justify it. You dont find many scales for the with a pocket clip unless they are really high end

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking anyone for wanting to trick out their carry. I personally don't care for pocket clips enough to add one to a knife that doesn't have one, and I somehow think they wouldn't work on my swisschamp.

There's absolutely no doubting the cool factor, and seeing as most of us here seem to have a sak in constant carry along with a knife-du-jour it makes sense to me that if you want to trick something out the Swiss army knife would be the one to do. I might have a different dedicated blade with me at any give time, but I've ALWAYS got the swisschamp.

After carrying my huntsman for one day (my first sak) i absolutely have to have a clip for it to be my dedicated blade. Im not a multiple knife carrier, so for my comfort and easy if carry i need a clip

Have you considered a suspension clip? For me, a huntsman is alotta SAK to have floating around at the bottom of my pocket.

Ive looked at them. But the actual clip is a better prospect than a chain. If thats the clips youre talking about

The TEC suspension clip is what I’d recommend. I tried it out on my mini champ and have since ordered 3 more for the 91 and 93mm Vics I regularly carry.

That looks really nice. Ive seen some with li get chains i didnt care for. That would give me a good option if i wanted to look elsewhere for scales too
