Congrats. Knife sharpening is like a women, sometimes you gotta tinker with it until you find what works. Beckers are great knives for the price. I love my BK 16.

The BK2 is a great knife.
I wonder why you posted here instead of on the Becker Subforum? Anyway, nice to know you figured out the sharpening issue. Those Smith's and others of their ilk are great if you need to touch up a blade in a hurry (like trying to skin a couple of deer before night falls). But generally, there are better ways to sharpen a blade. I use a Blade Medic when I have to (not on my expensive stuff) and it does better than most. But I use stones or diamond normally.

Well it was suppose to be under the Becker sub forum, I'm using tapatalk on my phone and believe a glitch occurred. I was wondering why my post wasn't appearing there.

The bk16 is next on my list of knives to get, I was fondling it in cabelas yesterday and fell in love with it's ergonomics. Unfortunately they wanted $99 for it and a quick online search yielded results for around $60-70. I passed on it for the moment since for that price I can also get a kydex sheath to replace that condura disaster for what cabelas wanted for just the knife.

I think I'm going to pick up the enzo trapper 95 I've been drooling over then the bk16.

Also an fyi for anyone interested gander mountain has the work sharp Ken onion on sale for $129 which cabelas will price match.
