I know that I notice a very slight side to side blade play, but this thing locks up great, cuts great, and I just love a clip point (well this is more like upswept point) The lines are perfect, it might not be a people friendly knife, but the lines look great.

Yeah, the Chinook is my favourite folding knife when I hit the bush. It is a nice compliment to the Perrin Bowie hanging a my distended waist.

Stop that! :D Just kidding...
Mine is in the mail, and I can't wait to get it. :)
I pity any cardboard found in this house after the knife arrives, because it'll be slicing time! :D

Cardboard is in far more danger from my calypso jr than from the chinnie. Love that flat grind.

Flat grind rocks. When I got a PE Millie, nothing cardboardish in the house remained untouched.
But this is about a Chinook. And mine is still in the mail (i.e. Canada customs playing with it and having one heck of a good time...)
Oh, well... :D

Ah, Canada customs. They just love to mess with yeah by keeping your things for weeks on end.

I really like the Chinook too. I does have some blade play but, it probably has the stronges lock of all the knives I own.

I just love the lines... and how well it blends from the edge to that semi-choil part and thne to the handle.... It's a lovely blade.
It isn't as good on cardboard as jjcoolay's military, but I like this better than the mili. Not that I won't get the mili but this thing is one tough knife.
