I have the full size Cyclone. I love it! Is there another super fast slick opening assisted opener, with large scales, yet fairly slim profile?? Wish there was a Super Cyclone on steroids with an even longer blade and even a little larger grips.

The 1 ton, but it isn't speed assist. Though it has the real large, but real slim body. I think the closest things with the speed assist are the 1670 Blur and the 1605 Clash or the 0350 ZT.

The closest that fits for me in the KAI lineup is the ZT 0350 but may not be enough of what you are looking for. I really like that Cyclone shape/style with the wide but short and with thin-ish handles. The 0350 is a more general purpose design, the G10 is grippy and doesn't get cold, and I think you'll like it even if it doesn't have that chunky style and slick handles.

I wish the One Ton had G10 on both sides, like the Tension but with the original blade shape, or full metal something like the Boker Anso Albatross. I also like the micarta handled Boker Blackwood Pipsqueek and the Benchmade Sibert MPR both are thicker. The MPR has the benefit of being both Oregon designed and Oregon made, if such things concern you :highly_amused: There are also the custom/midtech versions of those production knives as well as the monster Direware Solo.

Another wide monster I forgot is the Grayman SATU. They are huge like a Cyclone on steroids eating another one on steroids. They are manuals though. If I quit buying Kershaws long enough to have some change one will by my next not KAI. Your best bet though is still the 0350 for a thin wide assisted. The 030x handles are much thicker but sculpted nicely to fill the palm.
