although I have many more expensive knives, I always seem to go to
my ag110 for my edc knife. Great combo of traditional look and function. What do you think?

One of the best buys in Buck knives right now ;) Its an awesome knife!

I have had one since they introduced them,It has been my primary outdoor knife for field dressing ,skinning and a list of other camp duties. It really is the best value going imho!

Thumbscrew, Pocket Clip....I know I might get flamed by the traditionalists and Buck loyalists but the 110 has a great heft and feel to it but two hands to open and unless carried on a belt case weighs in ones pocket. I used to carry my camillius dominator every day, untill the prices went crazy, now its in the safe. I used to arry it IWB with dress slacks and it was great.

If buck took this approach it would covert many back to the classic. At one ime I understand the 110 was a standard carry with may SF troops in Vietnam as their utility knife.

I've begun going back to old faithful( the 110) as an everyday carry but reall liked how handy the clip was with my Camillus Dominator, that goes in the safe now. Does anyone know of an aftermarket clip maker or can suggest how to add this onto my 110?.

I really like the heft an feel of the 110 but don't like to draw attention to it with a belt case and its quite hefty in my front pocket along with my speedloaders. I also hate when it falls sideways in the bottom of my pocket.
Any guidence would be appreciated

You might want to check into the Buck/Mayo Titanium model 172. Slim small profile, clip, S30V, frame lock, and should fit nicely in your pocket with all the other things you carry. Or an Adrenalin TI, or a Sirus. There are a few other Bucks you might find useable other than a 110. In other words,,,I don't think a clip will ever work on a 110. At least not for me.
Sure, would be useful for holding a 110 in one position in a pocket, but I believe with the bulk of the 110 with added clip would be uncomfortable in my hand when cleaning a deer. And there have been clips added to 110's. Just have to search out those that have done that.

The 110 wasn't ever designed to be a pocket carry knife. Thus the sheath. There are cordura sheaths that you can carry the 110 horizontally on a belt that is quite comfortable and not all that noticable.
I doubt seriously that Buck will ever put a factory clip on a 110.

I guess its a matter of preception as to Buck's need for converts back to the classic. If you roamed through any Walmart back prior to Christmas you saw the bins full of the Founder Tins. And per the threads about those here, is pretty obvious that Buck sold thousands of the "Classic Folding Hunter"

Sounds like a good choice on putting the Dominator in the safe, with the prices they are asking on ebay, or maybe now is the time to sell with Camillus having gone defunct. Prices may drop back on those later on.

Yeah, I have been using a 110 since the early 70's and have honestly tried a few different folders, but still nothing better than the 110 for my deer hunting. I even pulled a cuda max out once to give it a try on deer skinning and almost immediately put it away and then traded it off. It just wasn't designed as a Hunter.

One last thought, My 179 Hilo or 174 Cutback both slide in a pocket nicely alongside the p3at, where the 110 would take up too much room.

oops,,,I forgot to add that I have been opening and closing my 110's one handed for about as long as I have owned one. Now I will hush...

I agree with what Pack Rat wrote. To me, a 110 with a clip would destroy the clean lines and comfortable grip. Heck, even an OAB is too much for my liking. Lastly, I find a certain comfort in feeling the knife and sheath on my belt, as It is like a familiar friend.

I really would not mind a nice thumb-stud or thumb-disk, but I would hate a pocket-clip.
The 110 is the most comfortable folder I have ever used, bar none!
IMO, a clip would ruin that.

Larry...you got a screw loose? A 172 is over $100 more than a 110.
Add five dorrah and get a OAB.
Clips suck.
Ya all thought ya missed me until now ;)
Have a nice day...

Yeah Gooser, screws are really loose. But that blue locktite seems to be working ok. A 172 hits in the $150 range lately, give or take a little. His dominator is running $200 plus on ebay, or more. So I just figured a 172 might make him happier than a 110 while making a safe queenie out of a dominator..... anywho...just thought that maybe he didn't know about the 172. I am so cheep that my 172, that I would never carry, now has a new home in SD. And I have another nifty fixed blade that will be a user.

I have been kine of converting to users lately... Must be an old age thang, or good whiskey.....:o

An you really need to get that oab off that damascus before you scratch it. grrrr... :)

Say Junoir,,,can ya tell that some of us really like 110's?? :D Oh yeah...I now have 4 of the AG110's. Son in law is soon to inherit one. Might as well be sooner than later. This older n dirt stuff aint gettin any younger.

I have three 110AG knives. 2 woodys and one stag. Love 'em.
Larry...what's a "dominatior"?
That sounds like the name of the gal that slapped me when I asked her if my red bone looked funny ;)

We sure did miss you Goose!

I also love my one ;) 110 AG. But I love ALL of the AG series Bucks!

Camillus Dominator. Wat the gal was fixin to pull on you if you kept crackin wise to her...lol.... (is that how they say that on Hill Street?):D

Its a Camillus similar to the 172, but have been going up in price since Camillus folded. Gaggle it... or what ever gooses do...:D

Geeze food hunter, makes me wish I hadn't of taken the AG off my rubber buckie vanguard. Good display!

Understanding here that some red bone is funnier than others,,,some isn't.

Till I took these pics, never noticed that black spacer.

LOL Larry...thanks for 'splainin' Lucy. I thought you were telling him to get a 172 instead of a 110. Slap my butt and call me Sally.

I like that red bone w/ the black spacer. Thanks for the pics Rat :)

I know that gal too; she sure gets around!! ;)
I forgot her name...seem to recall that she's related to our other gals; Gret Snap and Pat Pending.

I wondered if you was going to call her name....:D:D

Do other red bones have a black spacer between the scales and liner?

Welll,,,,maybe kinda was telling him to get a 172...:D I think he would be happier with one. And if the clip on the 172 is like the ones on the 179 and 174, well, those are the only clips I have ever carried that have never sprung their spring.

I like the clips on the Buck-Striders, Mayo TNT, and Miracle Whip Waimea...
But a clip on a 110?
To me, that's like rewriting the Bible.

Oh Larry...you Rat,

Love the Red picked bone look on that 110....I did not know they used any spacer's like that!!!! See I learn something new here every day....just took a look at my "07" 500LE and it has Black spacers;). I'll be needing a few picked bone 110's...some time down the road!!!
