Just thought I would post this as I can't believe the deal that is being run on them. I got to Jonesin' for an Aviator style watch a few weeks ago. Went looking at jewelry stores a couple times. All the ones I saw didn't quite fit the bill. They were either to cheap feeling even though they were good name brands or didn't have the couple features I wanted. I told myself years ago that I would not buy another watch that did not have a screw down crown and sapphire crystal. Figured I would have to give up the screw down crown on an aviator. Came very close to buying the Citizen Nighthawk as you can buy a sapphire crystal for them. The extra cost of doing so kept me from pulling the trigger. I just about gave up when I ran across the Air Blue line of aviators made by Deep Blue. They are a little larger than most aviators and have a sapphire crystal. I found one in mint cond with two extra straps on watchuseek for 115.00 shipped.I researched them a little as the lowest I could find them was around 300.00. When I went to the Air Blue website to read up on them I noticed they were running them at 99.00. What a deal. I went ahead with the seller on wus as it was still a great deal with the extra straps. I was very surprised at the very high quality when it got here and even though none of the specs said anything about it the watch also had a screw down crown.
If you are in the market I wouldn't hesitate.

Congrats on the new watch. That is a great looking Aviator.

Would you mind measuring the strap from the buckle to the longest hole and let me know how long it is? My wrist measures 8" and lots of straps are too short.

Also, is the strap pretty stiff or is it very flexible?

Thx

I am getting 9 in to the last hole. My wrist is 7 3/4 and I am using the third hole from the end.

Thanks, that should be plenty big.

Is Deep Blue a reputable company? I was just on their website and their shipping charges are high and the return conditions are pretty onerous. Makes me a little suspicious.

I have not had a Deep Blue but have heard very good things about them. This one is a tank for an Aviator.
What was the shipping. Didn't check that.

UPS Ground $17.95
UPS/FEDEX 2 Day Air $35.95
UPS/FEDEX Next Day Air $49.95

I'm glad to see they offer them with a Ronda Swiss-made quartz movement. The cost of cleaning and servicing an automatic periodically is more than the cost of a new watch. I really like the looks of the watch you got.
