Love My SOG Pentagon...Hate The Giant Nylon Sheath...

Well I don't hate it, but I won't be wearing Molle gear or an assault vest. I wanted a low profile dirk as a nice concealable blade. The rather large nylon "vertical only" carry sheath with a pocket for your multi tool sort of defeats the purpose.

I don't know that the kydex sheath for the Pentagon 14 is a better solution and 50% of the review talk about them cracking and otherwise falling apart. I wish I could find a vintage leather sheath with belt clip, I could run it in the waist and it would be perfect. But seems they haven't made them in awhile and it's hard to find one.

Ideally I'd like a low profile nylon or leather sheath with belt loops that allow horizontal carry so I can run it at six o'clock. Seen a few custom sheaths that are "almost" what I want but the high price makes them an unrealistic solution.

Sorry about that. It was the closest thing I saw to a Fixed Blade forum. Didn't really think about the context of "traditional" when I posted. Thanks for the assist.
