Yeah, it sounds corny, but if any group can understand the bond between a man and his boots, it's you guys.

25 years ago when I was getting out of the army, my buddy asked for my Corcoran jump boots, and like any good buddy, I gave them to him.

I never thought too much about it over the years but over the last few I wished I had kept them.

Anyway, last month I had surgey on my left foot for a bunion and Morton's Neuroma. My foot is still swollen and I'm back at work behind the desk. I need to wear a stiff shoe with lots of support, but I can't find a dress shoe with a ton of toe room and good support. Conversly, none of the boots I looked at that were comfortable looked right with slacks and a tie.

So, I tried a pair of Corcorans, just like the ones I had back in 1981 and man they are perfect. With slacks they look just like a boxy dress shoe, they fit perfect, have plenty of support and are plain ol' cool.

It only took me 25 years to figure that out.

I guess the boys that designed them some 60 years ago knew a few things.

This time I'll not give them away, unless it's to my son in a few years.

Uncle Sam gave me 2 pair of Corcoran's in January '51 & they lasted unto the early or mid '60's . Most comfortable footware I've ever had . Since I'm an old man now, ther're probably too heavy for me. I might try a pair of the jungle boots though. Like the vents since I'm a Floridan.
Any comments on the jumgle boot ?

Uncle Alan

i got a pair they are DAM good....i love them so much.....they have never fail me yet....:foot:

Well... their not jump boots but they're finally broken in to where they feel real comfortable. Didn't know what I was going to do with 'em when I was discharged in 1972 but they still like to keep my feet warm. :)
