Those scouts are amongst my favourites too. In 2002 I bought my first SAK and it was a Victorinox Soldier. I wasn't into knives back then and just wanted a new pocket knife for camping. The Soldier caught my eyes, since the alox scales looked much tougher than the cellidor scales on the SAK that my parents gave me when I was a kid. In those days, that Soldier was the only knife I carried on camping and hiking trips.

They are great knives...I really like the 108's and had them in my emergency/wildfire/camping bags till the camo OHT's came out. Now I just collect them...

I just recently acquired a Pathfinder for the 108mm collection.

Here's a Solo Plus (with back tools) and a red Trooper.

I have a reg Vic Solo on the way from Taiwan but it's just about overdue...if it's not here this week, I'll have to contact the dealer.

I think the red and green Troopers are my favorites.

Those camo OHT's are the bomb as a all around camping/emergency knife!!:thumbup:

They are the civilian version of the (current since 2008) Swiss Solder knife and the liner lock is awesome!!

Added a pic of it open.

The One Hand Trekker (OHT) has a locking main blade, locking saw and locking lg screwdriver!

Bottom two are GAKs. I have my eye on the 108mm a red Safari Trooper and a red Pathfinder (no back tools) too.

Yeah, sorry, old picture and the only one I had of my 2 GAKs...I should have captioned it properly.

The OHT's are great too. I got one of those with camo scales, but prefer the Soldier version. The scales of the Soldier feel really well in the hand, also under wet conditions. I took mine once on a trip through Norway's mountains. Very comfortable handles. I also bought a Nomad with that kind of handles. Love it.

Here are two of my DAKs; based on Centurion and Dual Pro X. The one on the right is the latest DAK, if I'm correct. I like the looks, but don't have much use for the belt cutter and I don't find it very comfortable to hold the knife when either the regular blade or the belt cutter is unfolded. Good quality knives though. The Dutch army once issued knives from a different manufacturer than Victorinox and those knives were basically an imitation of the DAK which is based on the Dual Pro X, but those were poor quality, IMO. Glad to see the army returned to Victorinox.

Do all the one hand opening military SAKs all come with the 1/2 serrated blade. I don't like that feature.

How does the GAKs saw work with the can/bottle opener tip? Does it interfere? I think I need to find a few of those models.

Yes, you will have to buy a non serrated One Hand Trekker...avail in black or camo.

The older 108 combo blades work just fine...I de-limbed a really big Christmas tree years ago with a Trooper and the saw is amazing!
