New Year's resolution. No more new knives. Increase usage of my current knives. And I still have two more customs in the works coming from the very talented and capable @Hengelo_77 .

Let the howling begin!

(Thanks to BladeForums for helping me build my folder collection. Bart will have made three fixed blades for me when he's done. @Mike McCarter and Russell Reece made the other superb blades.)

Yeah, yeah, I know, pics or it didn't happen. I need a new group shot. Maybe in the morning light.

"Love the one you're with"?!?
Only if its a her, and she feels the same to me. :)
(not going to happen. I be too old, ugly, deformed, poor, annoying, boring ... :( )

As for knives ... I carry at least two or more multi-blade traditionals at all times for the versitility. :)

No one blade profile or type is "ideal" for every task. They are all a compromise.
For some tasks, a clip point is "best".
For other tasks, a drop point, spear point, sheepsfoot/lambsfoot/wharnclif or a Spey/Budding blade is better suited. :)

"Tasks" as in the plural of "task".

And I generally carry a fixed blade, a modern folder, and a single blade traditional. Same basic reason, though I sometimes utilize the knife that is more appropriate to the situation, rather than the task.

As far as the basic premise; I've been there for about two years. I haven't totally sworn off purchases; but my mindset has been to avoid or minimize them. It helps that I've found a trio that seems to work for me

I carry them for weeks at a time, usually only switching out when I make a conscious decision to carry other things for a few days.
*the exception is work, where - by necessity - I carry a light modern folder, clipped IWB.

I hear you. Seems like a great idea except I already have a new Shaman that arrived earlier this week and a Real Steel S571 Pro in the mail. So... I am not succeeding. There are 3 new knives on the horizon in a trade on Monday...
