Hello, Are there any of these around?? And are they being made only by his assitant Jim Merrit?? Just curious. I heard he doubled his price on these in the last two years

You might want to contact A.G. Russell. They would have one if anybody does. I don't think Bob has done his own knives in quite some time, but all get his involvement and stamp of approval before they leave his shop. There will certainly be a couple on the tables at the Blade Show.

Jonathan,

The guy to contact when it comes to Loveless Knives is JW Denton.

Loveless Big Bears are now selling in the $15,000 - $20,000 range.

You might check with Dave Ellis as well. He seems to have a few from time to time.

Jim still works at Loveless's shop. You might just want to contact him there.

Les is right. I couldn't remember JW's last name. He has the largest inventory of Loveless knives anywhere. You might also want to consider an S. R. Johnson Big Bear. They are indestinguishable, especially from the ones that Steve made while he worked in Bob's shop. They are as close to flawless as it gets, and a good bit less expensive...

Or, you could have somebody like Ray Cover make you one for about $325.
