any body have some thoughts - on how to blend the eye transistion - when i use the loveless bolts - often at the transistion you''ll see a line of the bolt thread and the nut - I know it's subtle and most dont worry bout it but I would like to make it not so visible

thx

Not sure how well it would work, but maybe peening the threaded rod?

Most folk's consider the "eye" on each side as a feature of the Loveless bolt and leave it as-is. It shows that the scales are bolted on, not just pinned.

Characteristic of Loveless bolts. Ya can use Corby's if you're looking for a little cleaner look. Personally I like the "lets get work done" look of the Loveless. Been some years since I've used Corby's. Even on a pretty fancy, I'm using Loveless bolts.

Aside from tighter thread tolerance what will help a little bit. There is not much you can do with it.
If materials allow it, soldering then polishing flush will at least leave fill tiny gaps filled.

yes the corby bolts are the cleanest way to go if that is the look you want. i agree with lieblad that the finer threads you use, the smaller the lines are.
