Loveless Lawndale Serial number info

Hello this is my first time posting here. I inherited a Loveless Lawndale CA small drop-point with a stag handle. There is no guard on the knife. The serial number etched into the side of blade near handle says "PS-149" Can anyone tell me approximate date of manufacture of this knife and any info for this PS prefix? Is that a "normal" serial number?

hello, the letter prefix is uncommon, it probably means something. the loveless knives have "shop numbers" instead of serial numbers. the shop numbers are just random, and do not follow any particular order. i think he started making knives in lawndale around 1960.
 
Your best source, as in foremost authority, would be John Denton at (bob loveless knives dt cm). The ps is probably in reference to the dealer. The move to Riverside occurred in 1974.
