I'm sure I've seen a knife that snaps to a sheath or ?

I think it was a Thad Buchanon, Loveless pattern. Searched for a couple days now and can't find a pic.

Please help.

Thanks

Loveless designed it for the original NY Special. There have been other makers working in the style that have done that since then.

This one is by Thad Buchanan:

Thanks Steve, I was beginning to think I had imagined it.

I wonder if there is a means of attachment on the back side of sheath or if it was meant for pocket carry?

Pretty sure it was meant for pocket carry, but both belt carry slits or a clip COULD be employed(just makes the sheath bulkier, tho).

Did the snap thingy with a horizontal shoulder holster for a 1911 years ago,
will have to remember this for future knife leather.

As Steven mentioned, the NY specials were made for legal, pocket carry in NY.
Sheath fits well into pocket, knife is held securely with snap.
