I appreciate the comments very much. Since my car accident some 20 years ago and being paralyzed from the waist down, knifemaking has been a great blessing to me. I love the Loveless style very much and I try to keep up with all the other knifemakers that make that style of knife. Most of them have worked or visited the Loveless shop at one time or another. I probably will never get to meet any of them or get to go to Mr. Loveless's shop but I am very grateful for his book and later on the video he made for everyone to see. Since I don't have any of his patterns from his shop, I have to rely on photos to try to make my knives like he makes his. The dream of my life would be to meet Bob Loveless, Steve Johnson, Jim Merrit, Mike Lovett, Bob Dozier and a few others who make the Loveless style knife. I just hope someday that I can reach the status of Bob Loveless in my knifemaking, a pretty high mark to set for myself but one that I can always shoot for. I may never make that mark but I am having a great time just making the knives. Thanks again everyone for the wonderful comments, they are much appreciated by me.
