Greetings All:

I have the original Big Bear pattern but there was no way I could have used the great 1 1/2" wide Sambar Stag I had to make it work. I built this fighter around the stag instead. I photographed it using Coop's method of presentation - what do you think of the shadows Jim? :) All comments welcome.

Take care,

TK

Looking at it, did you up size the pattern to fit the larger stag?

If so, bravo! It looks fantastic, and like it would fit my hand well!

What a bold knife! That stag is grippy and delicious, both at the same time. Sweet.

Photo: I noticed the distinction immediately. I'm liking it! You are so talented with that select tool: I'd select around the inset handle at the blade and guard area, choose/select 'inverse' and then *lightly* erase the inset background blending back some of the original core image shadow, so it's not as sharp a cutout. That's what I do.

Teach this man to fish!!! :)

Nope, I sized the pattern down - a real Big Bear handle is HUGE
