Greetings All,

I just got the proof back from COOP - great job here Jim. I've been on a twisted wire/takedown run lately. Sized/profiled to the Loveless pattern. I've posted a couple videos of it on my Instagram page @tksteingass. My next one will be a takedown Little Bear with .021" twisted wire handle. All comments welcome.
V/R,

Amazing work! If you don't mind telling, what do you use as a core to wrap your wire around?

Thanks for the kind feedback folks ! :)

That looks great. I think the wire wrap has a really cool aesthetic quality to it, retro and futuristic at the same time. That might be the knife Van Damme would have chosen if he had played Rambo. :D:p

What are its' tactile properties like in-hand, beyond just holding it and feeling tough?

Sam

Thanks for the comment Sam. Tactically, a wire wrapped handle has superior gripping ability when used with a thin leather glove, which is why you see this handle treatment on many swords.

That makes perfect sense. I like it. Great work, keep it up!

Sam

Thanks John - yes it took quite a bit of time - the fella that just bought it was thrilled to get it!

THAT's what I like to hear. SOLD!

Tim's work is ALWAYS engaging and ALWAYS a little challenging. That's why he sends it to me, because he does a WAY better than average job photographing them on his own.

That and, since I was/am a mechanic in my OTHER jobs, I like to unscrew thangs.... :)

Thank you Tim!
