Gentlemen:

I've been working on this fun project a bit at a time among orders. Just got the proofs from Coop so I thought I'd share this with you. The first guard I built for this knife had the rounded lugs and was the same size as the original....it's in the trash. I added 1/2" to the guard length with lug treatments similar to Steve Johnson's rendition.

The other difference is the hollow grinds taper to a point line 1/4 of the way down the blade rather than starting at the ricasso. The rest is pretty much standard Loveless fare. I like the way Coop shadows the hollow grinds and picks up the sweep under the clip. Nice work Jim!

Take care all,

TK

outstanding work in all regards. Have been enjoying all of the knives you create. Seem to be must to add one to our collection for sure.

TK, if you keep this up, I'm gonna think you really do know what you are doing!;)

This one is pure nice!

Good looking knife. The hollow-grind taper if very nice. It really adds a nice touch to such a long blade.

Thanks for the kind comments fellas!

I love Big Bears.
Excellent crafting of the guards, lugs and of course, lovely DI burl.
Superb rendition, TK.
