Another one finished.
Supposed to be a Christmas present, but alas, old Mr Slow here failed miserably! Thankfully people (at least some of them) are understanding of the fact I do this in between working and sleeping.
To be honest, this is one of those knives that has fought me from start to finish. But I got there in the end.
So, here it is.
3 3/4" 12c27 stainless blade at 60RC. Stabilised walnut burl handle with red G10 liners on a tapered tang. Overall length 8 1/4". Fittings are 303 (or is it 304?) stainless. I can never tell the difference to be honest!
I had a few problems with my photos last night. To be honest, I couldn't really be bothered to put in much effort playing about with lighting levels and it was tricky to show the wood to it's full advantage.
These were the best I could (be bothered) to do. The lighting is so bad, it's actually made the side of the handle look flat in one of them. I'm sure you get the idea though!
As always, thanks for looking.
Ian.
