Yet another one in black linen Micarta done!

3 3/4" 12c27 hollow ground blade. G10 liners and 304 fittings.

You know, I've made probably 200 Loveless dropped hunters over the past 15 years but never put that cool medallion on the handle. How did you do it, did you buy it, at what stage to you insert it into the handle, and how deep does it go?

TK Steingass TK Steingass I basically make a 5/16"/8mm slot in the handle with a slot drill on the mill. While the mill is set up I mimic the slot in a piece of paxolin sheet to make a template. Scribe the shape onto a piece of 1/4"/6mm 304 stainless, cut it out and grind it to fit the slot. Glue it in, than shape the handle as normal. :thumbsup:
