I think you did an excellent job. I particularly like the Buckeye burl scales. What did you line the sheath with and what was its weight?

The lining is from an upholstery leather sales sample pack about 3/64" thick and stretchy.

Well thanks but my tang isn't flat as you can see the black glue line between the red liner and tang.
It should look like the upper side of the tang mid way on the handle in the upper portion of the picture.
Another area of disapointment is the halo around the bolt.

Fit and finish is a bugger.

Oh, that's what that black line is? It almost looks like you deliberately added a thin black liner. Fooled me.
To be honest, I don't think it looks half bad.
 
Thanks Dan, Back in the old days, '80s, I think makers would try to get and even glue line all the way around the scales.
