Loveless style knife for christmas gift

My last blade for 2013, Its a christmas gift I made for an uncle. Basically spent all of this year learning how to grind good lines and leaving a nice finish. From here on I will begin to learn folders (slipjoints and liner locks) and see where the rest goes. Happy New Year everyone :-)

Very nice! Do you have any more shots showing more detail around the guard? I am working on a smaller Loveless style at the moment and am gathering as much info as I can!
 
Hey tom, When it comes to the guard i just flatten as much of the top and bottom as possible. Than I check the dimensions and tolerances when around the ricasso to get a nice tight fit. After that i make sure the area that the tang and guard meet is flat and at 90 degrees. This is the closes shot i have of the guard area before giving it to my uncle
