First attempt at a leather sheath.
Lots of mistakes, like..

Keep it clean
Be careful when it's wet
Plan before you do anything.

Anyway lots to learn and they will hopefully get better

Thanks for looking, please comment.

My first was no where near that nice. You learn something with each new sheath and will only improve. It's just the little details that make the difference.I think you did a good job.

Very nice first attempt. My only comment (and take this in the spirit in which it is intended). You stopped before you were finished. The edges could use a bit more attention and finishing. The rest of it is VERY passable. You are headed in the right direction.

I was thinking the same thing as Paul. A little more burnishing and a little dye on the edges to frame the sheath and it looks great.

The overall shape, particularly the mouth of the sheath really shows you have a good eye for line (well that and the knife too. :p). I'm sure your next will look like you're an old hand at this.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate your suggestions and encouragement.

Kind of a fish out of water with the leather but excited about doing another.

Looks great to me, sure it could use a tad touching up, but put that up to a factory produced once made today in 10 years, and I'm sure if it doesn't look much the same for wear, it will have turned out better. Anyhow, customs are always so much better than factory mades, nice work
