Lovin the Umnum!!

I just got my first Umnum yesterday and its awesome, it was born Oct 20, 2011 and it does have the first lbs w/o the logo. One thing about the lbs is it looks much better in real life than in pics, it does match the ti very well though and at least it doesn't have a screw in the middle of it like most other knives. The lbs def doesn't detract from the knife in my eye's:thumbup: I've had zero problem's opening and closing it and it was smoother than my Seb's otb, I din't know it would be this hard to decide which I like more the Umnum or the Sebenza. But maybe after I get some good use with the Umnum I could comment further, so far an outstanding knife a big :thumbup: to CRK
 
I wish the umnumzaan was the first knife i bought. I could have saved thousands on folders i dont carry.

^ awesome brother I know I'm lovin mine and its def a keeper:thumbup: as are my Sebenza's, but right now I'm on my honeymoon with my Umnum:D
 
Ive been EDC'ing mine for a couple years now, and I absolutely love it. I have sold ALL my EDC knives because I dont need em anymore. I just have my Barkie trio for the woods (proscalpel, aurora, golok) and the umnumzaan for EDC. All I need.

Someday.... I'll get to that level. As of right now I still have a handful of knives that I love equally.
 
Im jealous. Iv got one waiting for me in a case at a local shop right now. Friday, on lunch break, its MINE. I sure hope its still there lol. Im pretty excited to finally be in the CRK family. It'll be my first and a large 21 sebenza is next.

whoah. an umnum... and okras!? would have never thought of seeing that combo outside of my house! haha (cept I have a few sebs and no umnum - still looking for one of the original ones w.o the stamp/lbs... hopefully I'll find one soon).

Ohh my god!!! This thing is awesome!!!
She is beautiful, I never imagined it would feel so solid and strong.
Very happy with it...so far.
One question... I know this as been talked about over and over again but I need comforting...:)
The lockup is really late, rock solid but really late....is it normal?

Very cool. I have an older one; I plan to pick up a Wilson Srartac when they are back in stock so I can experience all of the improvements.

100% normal. The ceramic ball on the lockbar is what makes contact with the blade tang so it makes it look like the lockbar is locking up at around 80% or more. When you shine a light and take a closer look, the ceramic ball locks up at around 50-60%.

The Umnumzaan is my favorite CRK... At least until I try out a Sebenza 25 and see if that usurps the Umnumzaan.

Yep what Kawr said the ball is actually at 50-60% you should be able to look at the tang under the glass breaker and see how far the ball is actually coming over and it will never go all the way over:thumbup: Can't wait for the 25 either I'm sure it will be outstanding
